DJ Packages
Our DJ packages combine experienced live DJs, professional sound equipment and lighting selected for the venue, audience and type of event. Options range from the focused DJ Pro service to packages featuring a vocalist, saxophonist, percussionist or a combination of live performers. Each booking is prepared around the organiser’s music preferences rather than supplied with a standard playlist.
The Jukebox DJ Company provides entertainment for weddings, birthdays, corporate functions, private parties and Christmas celebrations in Birmingham and the West Midlands. Package prices are based on DJ sets of up to five hours within 50 miles of the Midlands. Longer performance periods and bookings farther away can also be considered, with any additional time or travel costs explained during the quotation process.
What Every DJ Package Includes
Whichever option you choose, the DJ remains at the centre of the entertainment. Our DJs mix live, connecting songs through tempo, phrasing and musical compatibility instead of working through an unattended playlist. This allows the performance to respond to the guests while remaining within the musical direction agreed with the organiser.
Every package includes:
A professional and experienced DJ
A music consultation before the event
A live-mixed set tailored to the booking
Professional sound equipment suited to the venue
Lighting effects selected for the available space
A choice of suitable DJ booth styles
Coordination of important songs and formal moments
Setup and removal of the agreed equipment
Clients can provide favourite genres, essential tracks and firm exclusions. House, old-school R&B, club classics, chart music, pop, funk, soul and Motown can be combined in different proportions. The brief does not need to contain every song for the evening. A clear set of reference points gives the DJ enough information to understand the required style while retaining the flexibility needed for live performance.
DJ Pro Package
DJ Pro is our core package for clients who want a professional DJ, tailored music, sound and lighting without an additional live performer. It can be used for wedding receptions, birthday parties, company functions and other organised events where the DJ will provide the main evening entertainment.
The music is prepared around the people attending and the organiser’s instructions. A wedding couple might supply their first dance, several essential songs and a list of genres associated with their family and friends. A birthday client may prefer a more concentrated mixture of music from particular decades. A business organiser can request familiar selections intended to work for colleagues with varied tastes.
A choice of DJ booth styles is available, subject to the venue and equipment requirements. The selected booth should fit the character of the room without taking unnecessary space from the dance floor or guest seating. Sound and lighting are also planned in proportion to the venue rather than automatically using the same arrangement for every booking.
DJ Pro is suitable for clients who want the flexibility of genuine live mixing with one clear entertainment service. It can also provide the starting point for the packages featuring live vocals or musicians.
DJ Pro and Vocals
DJ Pro and Vocals adds a professional singer to the main DJ service. The package combines a live-mixed DJ set with three 30-minute vocal medleys, creating defined live-performance sections within the wider event.
The vocalist can perform music involving old-school R&B, swing beats, singalong favourites and current house tracks, depending on the agreed repertoire and event brief. The DJ links the vocal sections with the rest of the music, so the singer does not operate as a disconnected act requiring a completely separate setup.
Timing can be planned around the event schedule. At a wedding, the first vocal medley may follow the formal dances, with later sets placed at suitable points during the reception. At a corporate event, vocals might begin after dinner, speeches or awards. Birthday parties can use the medleys to divide the evening into several distinct musical sections.
This option is best suited to organisers who want a strong live vocal element alongside the range and flexibility of a DJ. The venue should provide enough suitable performance space, and any access or sound restrictions should be shared before the package is confirmed.
DJ Pro and Saxophone
DJ Pro and Saxophone combines the main DJ package with a professional saxophonist performing alongside selected parts of the set. The instrument works particularly well with house, dance, soul, funk and familiar vocal records, although the final musical direction remains guided by the client.
The saxophonist does not need to perform over every song. Defined appearances can be placed where the live instrument contributes most effectively, leaving the DJ to control the wider structure of the evening. This helps the performance develop naturally rather than using the same musical intensity from beginning to end.
A complimentary upgrade to the Rustic DJ Booth is included with this package, subject to suitability for the venue and setup. The booth provides a distinct visual finish while the professional sound and lighting arrangement supports both the DJ and saxophonist.
This package can suit a wedding DJ booking with live saxophone, a significant birthday or a company celebration. Availability of individual musicians should be checked for the required date before the entertainment is finalised.
DJ Pro and Percussion
A professional percussionist or bongo player can be added to DJ Pro as an alternative to saxophone. Live percussion adds rhythmic detail to selected tracks and can work particularly well with house, disco, funk, Latin-influenced music and club classics.
The musician performs in coordination with the DJ, who remains responsible for the music and overall pace. Percussion can be introduced during particular sections rather than used continuously, helping it retain a clear purpose within the entertainment.
The most suitable performance period will depend on the event. A percussionist might join the DJ after the formal parts of a wedding, during the later section of a birthday or once a corporate dinner has moved into its main party programme. Space, sound restrictions and the position of the performers will be considered before the option is recommended.
DJ Pro, Saxophone and Bongo
The DJ Pro, Saxophone and Bongo package brings together three performers: the DJ, a saxophonist and a percussionist. The DJ controls the musical structure while the two musicians perform alongside selected tracks, either separately or together during agreed sections.
This package provides the broadest live-performance arrangement in the current range. It is intended for events with enough room, setup time and an appropriate schedule for several performers. A large wedding suite, company function room or dedicated event venue may accommodate the trio more effectively than a compact private room.
The presence of two musicians does not mean every part of the evening needs to operate at the same pace. Background music, dinner, speeches and other formalities can remain appropriately restrained. The musicians can then be introduced when the planned entertainment section begins.
A violinist may also be available, subject to the event date, musical requirements and individual performer availability. Our DJ musician and entertainment extras page explains the live additions that can be considered with a booking.
Choosing a DJ Package for Your Event
The largest package is not automatically the most appropriate one. The decision should account for the event format, available space, audience and the role that entertainment will play during the day or evening.
DJ Pro may be sufficient when the organiser wants music to remain the sole focus. A vocalist can add recognisable live medleys and direct interaction. Saxophone or percussion can introduce an instrumental performance element without replacing the DJ set. The trio package provides several live components for venues and schedules able to support them properly.
When comparing the options, consider:
Whether you want a DJ only or additional live performers
The styles of music requested for the event
The number of guests and dimensions of the room
The position and size of the dance floor
The time available for setup and sound checks
Whether speeches, dinner or awards form part of the schedule
The venue’s sound limiter and finishing time
Parking, unloading, stairs and lift access
Providing these details helps us recommend an option based on the actual booking. It also allows us to identify whether a live musician will have adequate performance space and whether the planned timetable gives each element enough time.
Wedding DJ Packages
Our wedding entertainment packages can be organised around the reception timetable. Music may be required while evening guests arrive, followed by the first dance, parent dances or other formal selections. The main mixed set can then begin at the point agreed with the couple.
DJ Pro provides the complete music-led option, while vocals, saxophone or percussion can add planned live sections. Couples can explain how prominent they want the musicians to be and which parts of the reception should remain more restrained.
The venue’s arrangements are especially important for weddings. Some suites must be turned around after the wedding breakfast, limiting the time available to install equipment. Other venues allow the DJ setup to be completed earlier in the day. Supplying the function room, access times and coordinator’s details helps us prepare the correct arrangement.
Birthday and Private Party Packages
Our birthday DJ packages can reflect the music associated with the person celebrating rather than relying only on their age. Favourite nights out, particular decades, holidays and shared songs often provide more useful reference points.
A DJ-only package can work well when the client wants a broad selection mixed throughout the booking. Vocals or live musicians can be added when the organiser wants separate performance sections. Anniversaries, engagements and other celebrations can also be planned through our private party DJ service.
Corporate and Formal Event Packages
Business events frequently place the DJ within a detailed running order. Arrival music, dinner, speeches, awards and presentations may all take place before the principal entertainment begins. Our corporate DJ packages can be prepared around those stages.
A vocalist, saxophonist or percussionist can be assigned a suitable place within the programme rather than appearing at an arbitrary time. We can work from the organiser’s schedule and coordinate with venue staff or other suppliers concerning access and performance periods.
Sound, Lighting and DJ Booth Selection
Professional sound and lighting are included with every package, but the setup is adapted to the room. Guest numbers alone do not provide enough information. Ceiling height, room shape, dance-floor location, equipment space and venue restrictions can all affect the recommended arrangement.
Our mobile DJ equipment service considers the practical route into the venue as well as the event itself. City-centre hotels may use scheduled loading bays, while upper-floor suites can require access through lifts or restricted corridors. Schools, sports clubs and community venues may have their own opening and closing procedures.
Booth selection is discussed alongside these requirements. The final choice must safely accommodate the equipment, suit the appearance of the room and leave appropriate space for any musician performing beside the DJ.
Performance Times, Travel and Musician Availability
Package prices are calculated for DJ performances lasting up to five hours and taking place within 50 miles of the Midlands. Additional playing time can be requested. Events beyond the standard travel area may also be possible, with the distance and timetable considered when the quotation is prepared.
Saxophonists, violinists, percussionists and vocalists are subject to availability. Early enquiries are useful when a particular live performer is central to the event, especially for popular wedding dates and December functions.
The proposed arrival, setup, performance and finish times should all be supplied. A five-hour DJ set does not necessarily represent the complete period spent at the venue because equipment installation and removal also require time.
Experienced DJs for West Midlands Events
The Jukebox DJ Company was launched in late 2024 with a focus on tailored entertainment and genuine live mixing. The team has since performed at more than 1,000 events for private clients, businesses, actors, athletes and professional footballers. It also helped provide the official after-show entertainment for the BBC Sports Personality of the Year awards afterparty in 2024 and 2025.
Founder Danny has more than 15 years of DJ experience, including residencies with Gatecrasher Birmingham, Rainbow Warehouse, Spin, Rocknrolla and Oceana. That experience supports technical mixing and musical judgement, but the performance style is adjusted for each booking. A wedding reception, school event and company dinner do not require the same volume, interaction or musical pace.
